What's Included:

  • Top overall time for men and women in 10k and 5k (prize also for winning kiddo)
  • Best overall costume/outfit (as voted by participants)
  • Best Dirty Farm outfit (as voted by participants)
  • Is done by hand as there are time deductions at the end of the race for correct answers and completing specific tasks.
  • Time reductions will be awarded to the participants answering questions correctly. 1 minute off the time for every correct response. Questions will be dispersed throughout the course and participants can write down their answers on the paper provided in their packet.
  • The largest time reduction is 5 minutes for the participants completing the entire race without breaking their egg.
  • Completion of all Dirty Farm Trek obstacles may be hazardous. It is the responsibility of the participant to leave the course if they are unable to complete an obstacle.
  • Course officials are stationed at obstacles for participant safety.
  • It is the responsibility of the participant to notify course officials if the participant feels their safety is in danger or they are injured.
  • Any participant who receives assistance from any spectator or non-competitor on any obstacle shall be ineligible to receive an award.
  • Obstacles will include climbing, dodging, crawling, mud, water, jumping, sliding, ducking, carrying, rolling and much more.
The following rules and guidelines are intended to help create a fun and safe event for all participants.
  • Participants must abide by all instructions given from the race director, race staff, volunteers and medical personnel.
  • Pets are not allowed to complete the DFT.
  • Participants understand and acknowledge The Dirty Farm Trek is an extreme event and accept all risks associated with the event.
  • Participants must be physically able to complete the course and all obstacles.
  • Participants must be 14 years-old or older on race day in order to participate alone.
  • Participants must wear the provided DFT bib number clearly shown on the front. No participant will be allowed to race without an official bib number.
  • Several videographers and photographers are stationed along the course. Participants agree to allow the VZ Foundation to use any pictures or video footage of the event for future promotional purposes.
  • Baby joggers, baby strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, skateboards or any other type of wheeled device are strictly prohibited on the course.
  • Urinating or defecating on or anywhere near the course is strictly prohibited.
Registration is closed when the maximum capacity is reached.

Day of Race:
  • Packet pick-up will be available on site, beginning at 1:00 pm.
  • Your packet includes your race bib with safety pins, your t-shirt, drink ticket, ziplock bag with pen/pencil, paper, and egg.

*Race packets and materials must be picked up on-site. They will not be shipped to participants.

Packet Pick-Up:
What You Need
  1. Your photo ID (required at packet pick-up).
  2. An initialed, signed, and dated copy of the participant waiver. This is optional to bring with you, but will greatly help save some time in line!

Picking Up a Friend's Packet:
You will need the following items in order to pick up the items.
  1. Copy of your friend's photo ID.
  2. Signed and initialed waiver from your friend.
*Race packets and materials must be picked up on-site. They will not be shipped to participants.

When to Arrive on Race Day:
We recommend that you arrive at least one hour before the start. Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your bib, place belongings in your car, and make your way to the starting line.
Please note: There will be no place to check your valuables. All personal belongings are each participants responsibility.

What You Need at the Race:
  • Your photo ID
  • Extra cash for food and beverages at the end of the race
  • Appropriate footwear is highly recommended! Note: You will get DIRTY!
  • Additional clothes to change into after the race
  • A great FARM attitude!
What to Leave at Home:
  • No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
  • There is plenty of parking at the Deming Log Show Grounds. Please look for signs on the day of the Trek. Carpooling is encouraged (especially for those sticking around for the Boundary Bay Beer Garden).

Party like a Farmer:

  • Boundary Bay Brewery will have a beer garden at the finish line.
  • There will be food for purchase from Diego's Mexican Grill.
Race Photos:
  • Keep your eye out for our official race photographer.

Getting Clean after the Race:
  • There will be a water station to rinse off after the race, but stay home if you don't like getting dirty!
